Divine & Humanitarian Service
Dhaka Ahsania Mission is a non-profit voluntary organization in Bangladesh. The Mission was established in 1958 by Khan BahadurAhsanullah, an outstanding educationist and social reformer of undivided India. It is one of the largest NGOs in Bangladesh and has helped 1.9 million women achieve economic solvency. The mission has now emerged as one of the major development organizations of the country.

Ahsania Mission has been functioning in mainly four subdivisions of development- Education, Health, Livelihood and Human Rights and Social Justice. It has achieved accomplishment during the last three decades in the fields of Non-Formal Basic and Continuing Education, Technical Education and Skills Development, Gender Development, Environmental Development and Preservation, Child Rights and Elimination of Child Labor, Prevention of Tobacco and Drug Addiction and HIV-AIDS, Poverty Alleviation, Water and Sanitation, Prevention of Woman and Child Trafficking, Training, Research etc. In the meantime, the Mission has been approved Consultative Status with UNECOSOC and Operational Relations with UNESCO.
Some of the institutions of Dhaka Ahsania Mission is the Ahsanullah University of Science and Technology (AUST), Khan BahadurAhsanullah Teachers Training College (KATTC), Ahsania Mission College (AMC), Ahsanullah Institute of Information & Communication Technology (AIICT), Ahsanullah Institute of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (AITVET), Ahsania Mission Institute of Medical Technology (AMIMT), Ahsania Institute of Technology and Business (AITB), Ahsania e-Solutions (AeS), Ahsania Mission Book Distribution House (AMBDH), Ahsania Mission Cancer & General Hospital (AMCGH), and NCAM also founded Nalta Sharif Ahsania Mission Orphanage (NSAMO) at Dhaka, naming it in honor of the founder.

Khan Bahadur Ahsanullah - The Beacon of Education and Social Reform
খান বাহাদুর আহসানউল্লাহ (১৮৭৩-১৯৬৫) ছিলেন একজন প্রখ্যাত বাঙালি শিক্ষাবিদ, সমাজসেবক, লেখক এবং সমাজসংস্কারক। তিনি ব্রিটিশ ভারতে মুসলিম সমাজের মধ্যে শিক্ষার প্রসার ও সামাজিক উন্নয়নে অগ্রণী ভূমিকা পালন করেন। একজন দায়িত্বশীল শিক্ষাকর্মী হিসেবে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে বিভিন্ন শিক্ষাপ্রতিষ্ঠানে কাজ করেছেন এবং শিক্ষাব্যবস্থার উন্নয়নে তার অবদান অতুলনীয়। সমাজে শিক্ষা বিস্তারের মাধ্যমে আর্থ-সামাজিক উন্নতি ঘটানোই ছিল তার অন্যতম লক্ষ্য।

তার জীবনের অন্যতম বড় কাজ ছিল ঢাকা আহছানিয়া মিশন প্রতিষ্ঠা। ১৯৫৮ সালে প্রতিষ্ঠিত এই মিশনের উদ্দেশ্য ছিল মানবসেবা ও সমাজ উন্নয়নে কাজ করা। আহছানিয়া মিশন এখনো বাংলাদেশের একটি সুপরিচিত ও প্রভাবশালী সামাজিক সংগঠন হিসেবে কাজ করে যাচ্ছে। এ সংস্থা দেশের বিভিন্ন স্থানে শিক্ষা, স্বাস্থ্য, দরিদ্র সেবা এবং সামাজিক উন্নয়নমূলক কার্যক্রম পরিচালনা করছে। এছাড়াও, মাদকাসক্তি নিরাময়, গৃহহীনদের আশ্রয় প্রদান এবং প্রান্তিক জনগোষ্ঠীর ক্ষমতায়নে আহছানিয়া মিশন বিশেষ ভূমিকা পালন করে আসছে।
খান বাহাদুর আহসানউল্লাহর এই অনন্য দান ও সমাজসেবামূলক কার্যক্রম তাকে ইতিহাসে অমর করে রেখেছে। তার শিক্ষা, সমাজকল্যাণ ও মানবসেবার প্রচেষ্টা আজও ঢাকার আহছানিয়া মিশনের মাধ্যমে জীবন্ত হয়ে আছে এবং তিনি বাংলাদেশ ও বাঙালি মুসলিম সমাজের জন্য একটি অনুপ্রেরণার প্রতীক।
